FAQs
Do I need a controller to play?
Yes. 100%. The game is designed to work with two analogue sticks. Left stick controls the left arm of the alien. The right stick controls the right arm of the alien. You can also grab using the triggers or bumpers. The game cannot be played without a controller. We recommend either a Dualshock 4 or Xbox controller
How do the events work?
When playing Party Mode the events are randomised. If you select Beginner you will always start with a simple sprint and a long throw. This is to help new players get acclimated or just as a gentle introduction to play. After this events are ‘randomised’. Events are categorised so you will get a variety of event types during play without playing the same event back to back. Each event also has a number of variations meaning that sprint you just played might have a different layout next time to keep you on your toes.
How do sponsors work?
So alongside randomised events you will also get a random sponsor. These sponsors range from applying low gravity to the event, giving the alien laser hands to having a balloon tied to the aliens body. These sponsors are not specific to an event so next time you play a sprint you will have a different sponsor. Our randomisation system will ensure you play other combinations before seeing a repeat. This means there are potentially thousands of possible event and sponsor combinations.
You can support up to 20 players? How many controllers do I need?
Just one! The game is turn based so you can pass a single controller around if you are having a large group play. You can connect up to four controllers so if you are playing with four people each person could have their own or if you are playing in a group players can share a controller between two or more people. The game is flexible so at the player start menu any player can pick up any connected controller and use that.
Another player started a round with the wrong controller. Can I swap?
Yes. Just hit pause on the controller that started the round and un-pause using the controller you want to play with.
